Synopsis
Presented by hip-hop star Akala, Poetry: Between the Lines features contemporary poets including Jackie Kay, Gillian Clarke and Ciaran Carson, in conversation with Akala about some of their best-loved poems. Featured texts include Brendon Gallacher, Cold Knap Lake and Belfast Confetti, exploring themes ranging from childhood imagination, to the power of memory and the Troubles in Northern Ireland. The films will show teenagers how contemporary poetry is something alive in the world around us.
