Synopsis
Part Fourteen of a fifteen-part BBC series comprising Shakespeare’s history plays from Richard II to Richard III (the two tetralogies). This is the first part of Richard III. The Prince of Wales, heir to Henry VI has been murdered, Henry himself has been killed, and Edward IV, recently crowned in London, is threatened by Gloucester's determination to win the crown.

Nothing can now check Gloucester's struggle to possess himself of the Crown. His brothers are now dead, and he has imprisoned his two young nephews, Edward V and Richard of York in the Tower.
