Synopsis
Ian Hogg, who played the title role at Stratford ten years ago, presents his personal view of the play and the central character Coriolanus. "I have come to look upon roles like Coriolanus as theatrical initiations on the grandest scale. A unique master of the art of tragedy takes the actor by the hand and leads him into the circle of a test, which ... will bring him face to face with the physical, mental, and spiritual centres of his 'being'."
