Synopsis
An overview of the methods used by the abolitionists, such as the famous poster of the slave ship 'Brookes'. The case of a slave, who fled from her owner and eventually published an account of her life, is also examined. The stories of former slaves are assessed as a factor in the anti-slavery campaign.
